Hi Jeandre I’ve done some listening with the connections (Furutech FP201 / FP202) terminating my QED Silver anniversary XT wire, in a bi-wire setup. I instantly heard a clearer high end. More micro detail in the upper frequencies, more space in the soundstage. I had a pair of Nordost Valhalla (R30k) cables for 3 weeks (on loan). My biggest audio shock for past 2 years. The Ascendo 24” baby subwoofer (SMSG24). Even the 4JL’s I heard the other day has to stand back. Never ever have I heard a whole house almost blow up in sound. A tad more volume and the windows will break. This needs a room without windows. Organ music was spectacular!! The fact that you integrate it at listening position is the killer here. It just slipped in under existing system. Next to audition is the 32”. The 50” not in South Africa yet. That does 1-3Hz. Hi Jeandre, The Cyrus 200 Power Amp is a beautiful sounding machine. In my experience there’s a lot to be liked. It basically lifted my listening experience to another level!!! To name a few- - open well defined, open soundstage, clear detailed sound, excellent timing, amazing vocals. I could go on and on. I’m now rediscovering my music collection anew. Hi Jeandre. Thought I’d share this moment with you. I’m in an unusual situation tonight in that I’m listening to all my speakers back-to-back, deciding what to keep and what to let go off. The contenders are, in order of ‘price’ - Mordaunt Short MS-10, Monitor Audio BX2, Linn Kan, Acoustic Research 925e, KEF LS50 Meta, Magneplanar 0.7, and Spendor Classic 4/5. While I think the Metas uncover more and the Maggies can be more entertaining in short bursts, every time I plug the baby Spendors in, I forget that I’m evaluating speakers, and I end up entranced, listening to ‘just one more song’ … over and over again.
